Featured song of the week: “Wake me up” by Avicii-
Wake Me Up" is a song by Swedish DJ and record producer Avicii, released as the lead single from his debut studio album True, released on CD and cassette by PRMD Music, Lava Records and Sony Music's Columbia Records on June 17, 2013. "Wake Me Up" was written by Avicii, Mike Einziger, and Aloe Blacc.
Music is everywhere in today’s society and has a big impact on the way that we live our everyday lives. Take the song “Smells like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana for example. It came out over twenty years ago, yet is still a big part of society and has had a lasting impact on many people. There are over 97 million songs worldwide that have been accounted for. This creates a variety of different genres and types of music for people to listen too. There is always a song for you, even if you have to look extra hard to find it.
There are a lot of different genres of music out in the world. Rock and Roll, Disco, Jazz, Rap, Hip Hop, Classical, and Metal just to name a few. Each genre offers a totally unique style and sound for your ears. Music is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. People are able to express feeling and emotion by creating music, and then let others listen and enjoy. Some songs are not for everyone though. I have encountered many songs that I did not like at all. This was due to the lack of vocal talent or just lack of good music in general.
I have a very good taste in music; this is due to me being alive for thirteen years. Some of my favorite songs are rock songs, but I also really like certain pop songs and even some indie songs. One of my all-time favorite songs is Don´t Stop Me Now by Queen. It always puts me in a good mood and I have memorized every beat and word. I am also very fond of the song Helpline by Mura Masa. It's a really laid back and relaxed song and always puts me in a good mood. I even like songs from back in the 1940s, mainly because they are good for doing homework and kicking back. Liking a certain song does not entitle you to a certain genre.
If you need help finding a song, check out the billboard top 100s. It offers a list of the top songs in the world right now. It is constantly updating its board based on the popularity of new songs being released. This is a good way for people to get in touch with others and bond over music. Most kids nowadays also listen to lots of songs from the top 100s chart, so if you are in need of friends, listen to these songs and you will finally have something to talk to other people about. It can also be useful if your having a party and need some songs to play. Instead of picking metal or jazz songs, pick songs with rhythm and class. Normally, songs like this are usually found on the Billboard charts, and it's a great tool to have at your disposal.
In conclusion, music has a big impact on the way we live our everyday lives. Even though there are over 97 million songs worldwide, we are still able to find ones that stick out to us and that can help us through our days. There are many different music genres and there is always a song for you.

Looking for a new show to watch with your family? The new Roseanne may just be what you need. Roseanne has made a huge comeback from the 80’s and is back more than ever with more than 18 million viewers. This was because of the shows comments on political terms. This show is about one family who is constantly trying to manage their problems. It aired Tuesday, March 27, meaning there are plenty of episodes for you to catch up on!
You’ve probably heard of the hot show, Grey’s Anatomy, one of the many great series written by Shonda Rhimes. Greyś Anatomy is about a group of surgeons who work at a hospital and constantly keep running into more and more danger. This show is on its fourteenth season as it is a huge hit because of the constant drama, suspense, and unexpected plot twists. It’s the perfect binge watching show as it is available on Netflix and its many seasons. Its a personal favorite for me as I’m sure it will be for you!
If your looking for a good show to laugh at and watch with your family, Modern Family is perfect. This show is about one, big family and their corky aspects. People love this show because it picks their mood right up and everyone can agree it is one of the funniest shows their is. This ongoing show is on its ninth season and has prepared many laughs for you and your family. This show airs on Wednesday nights at 9 pm on ABC channel.
Just finished a really good dramatic show and looking for a new one? The Walking Dead is an HBO show and is also available on Netflix. The Walking Dead is about the zombie apocalypse and the survivors are literally fighting for their lives The show’s unexpected twists, turns, and suspense makes the show the most binge worthy show there is out there and may be the perfect fit for your new show to binge.
Got Netflix? If you don’t, then you’re missing out. Right now the hit show, Stranger Things, is filming its third season and you know you´re waiting for it. This show is super popular because it is a unique show that is like no other. In the show, a tween boy goes missing and his friends are trying to find him. Everything starts to change after the boy goes missing when the boyś friends find a strange girl in the woods. The drama shows scientific fantasies, tween-age kids, and ongoing suspense is part of what makes it so different. If you haven’t watched the show yet, go home and prepare to binge because I guarantee you, you won’t regret it and your going to fall in love.
Most people hadn’t downloaded the video demand service, Hulu, until their show, The Handmaid’s Tale, became a huge hit and won over its viewers because of the show’s feminism. This show is about a perfect utopia that ends up really turning into a dystopia. Now millions of people have Hulu and are way more than satisfied with their purchase. So if your one of the people who hasn’t downloaded Hulu to watch the show, I suggest you do it now!

Tim Bergling, (September 8, 1989 – 20 April 2018), better known by his stage name Avicii (stylized as ᐱᐯICII or ◢ ◤), was a Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer. He was best known for songs such as “Wake me up” and “The Nights”. He was and still is an influence to many people around the world. His music was created to inspire people, and that was his main goal in life. Tim first started his music career at the age of 16. He began by posting remixes he made on internet forums and websites which brought him to his first record deal. He rose to prominence in 2011 with his breakthrough single "Levels". His debut studio album, “True” (2013), featured electronic music blended with elements of several music genres and received generally positive reviews from music critics. He was an inspiration for many, and made some really good music, typically earning $250,000 a night. Unfortunately this all came to an end on April the 20th 2018. Avicii was found dead in a hotel room in Muscat, Oman, due to self inflicted wounds with shards of glass. He passed away at age 28.

What music means to me is something that isn’t just noise. Music is a powerful way of expressing a person’s feelings. Music changes people’s point of view of the world. Many types of music have many different meanings. Music can also be a vocal or instrumental sounds combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Music has different meaning for different people. Music is a strong way to change people’s lives. Music is expressed in many different ways. There is many different types of music: Musical Theatre, Popular Music, Jazz, Blues, Folk Music, Rock Music, Classical Music, Pop Music, Country Music, Hip Hop Music, Electronic Music, Reggae, Heavy Metal, etc. Music doesn’t always need to have background music or sometimes even vocals.
My favorite song personally is “Let You Down” by NF. I recommend you to listen to that song because that song has a really strong meaning. It is basically talking about how bad a person can get when they are let down. Sometimes saying sorry isn’t the easiest thing to do. Somethings aren’t always easy. I recommend you guys to listen to that song and tell us how you feel about it. It’s an amazing song.
NF is one of my favorite artists. His music has a lot of meaning to me. He has three albums: Mansion, Therapy Session, and Perception. He also has a couple of singles. He sings rap. His mom died by overdosing. He has a song about her called “How Could You Leave Us”. That song impacted many people and made many people cry. He sings many type of music. His music can be slow and lyrical. His music is mostly rap and fast. I recommend you guys to listen to his music.

There are different types of music in all the cultures. For example, there is the growing and popular Korean pop. First off, we have the world famous BTS. They are known as Bangtan Boys, or Behind the Scenes. They have made the world hit, and even performed in the AMAs in 2017. Some of their biggest hits are “DNA”, “Gogo”, and “Mic Drop”. “Mic Drop” is one of their songs which has come out in English. They are doing their world tour right now, and will be coming to LA from September 5 to 9. Right now, they are in LA for the BBMAs, or the Billboard Music Awards. We also have groups such as Red Velvet, Twice, EXO, Wanna One, and Blackpink. All of these groups have made the worldwide popularity chart. Each group has its own special talent. On April 28, 2018, some of these groups performed at Hollywood Bowl for the 16th Annual Korean Music Festival. We had groups such as BtoB, NCT 127, Red Velvet, Exid, and Rain. It really was a honor to see some of the most famous korean groups perform and I got to see them.
Music is used as a purpose in life. Though not everyone may enjoy the same type of music, we all have a genre of music that we like. Music helps in healing people. Listening to music makes people happier and leads them out of depression because most music have lyrics that many people can relate to the lyrics of the music. Music can release stress and anxiety, and people usually listen to music before an important event or before surgery. Sometimes, while you are listening to music, it helps reduce pain. The music helps your brain become more alert. If you see things that you haven’t seen before, it’s probably because of the music.
Finally, music means everything to me. I listen to K-pop because I can understand the lyrics and relate my life to it. The majority of the songs are about problems in life or just events that I can mostly relate to. I like the rhythm of songs and how for almost every song, they have a dance choreography for it. When I feel stressed out, I like to listen to the music and dance it out. It really helps when I dance it out because I need to move around to feel comfortable.

For centuries, music has been an important part of our culture. Music is a form of art that is enjoyed all across the world in unique and different ways. We have been enjoying this special form of art since the day we first heard it. Music today is a little different than it was years ago. Today the most popular types of music are pop, r&b, and rap.
There are ten songs that fit into those three categories in 2018. The first of the ten is the song “Friends” by Anne-Marie. 27 year old Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson is a singer and songwriter from Britain. She got many charting singles on the U.K. Singles Chart, including Clean Bandit's “Rockabye” , featuring Sean Paul. The second song is “In My Blood” by Shawn Mendes. 19 year old Shawn Peter Raul Mendes is a singer and songwriter from Canada. He attracted attention in 2013, when he began posting song covers on Vine. The third song is “One Kiss” by Dua Lipa. 22 year old Dua Lipa is an English singer, songwriter and model. Her career in music began at the age of 14, when she began covering songs for other artists on YouTube.
The fourth song is “God’s Plan” by Drake. 31 year old Aubrey Drake Graham is a rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur from Canada. He originally got attention as an actor on the teen drama T.V. series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000’s. The fifth song is “Psycho” by Post Malone. 22 year old Austin Richard Post is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. The sixth song is “Havana” by Camila Cabello. 21 year old Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is an American-Cuban singer and songwriter. She rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony.
The seventh song is “Never Be The Same” by Camila Cabello. Looks like she made it twice on this list. There is no stopping that girl. The eighth song is “The Middle” by Maren Morris. 28 year old Maren Larae Morris is an American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. She has released four studio albums. Her 2015 extended play, Maren Morris, charted on two Billboard charts. The ninth song is “Meant To Be” Bebe Rexha. 28 year old American singer, songwriter, and record producer. She is best known for her collaborations with other artists such as G-Eazy and David Guetta. The tenth song is “Rockstar” by Post Malone. Post Malone is just unstoppable.
Again music is a very important aspect to many cultures. It is a very impressive work if creative art. These artists are helping to carry out the importance of music. They are helping to continue the line of music for everyone to enjoy. Without artists like this the music of the world would be lost forever.
