In the 7th grade Magnet, there is one math teacher that I really favor which is Mrs. Delacruz. She really tries to make her projects and learning experiences fun for her students. She loves working and teaching kids. She also loves watching, attending, and playing sports. She has been teaching for twelve years in general. She has worked at multiple schools and not just this middle school. If she could have any other career job, she would be a food critic because she gets to try the food for free and she gets paid for it.

 

Before Mrs. Delacruz became a teacher, she was a boys basketball coach. Like I have mentioned before she loves to work on and work with kids. She really loves teaching kids in any way. She may have only been a basketball coach, but she would have always found a way to make her practices fun. Before Mrs. Delacruz started working at Ernest Lawrence Middle School, she has worked at other schools such as Nevada Elementary, Castle Bay Lane, Napa Elementary, Langdon Elementary, and Sepulveda Middle School.

 

Mrs. Delacruz went to school at California State University Northridge and graduated with a bachelor of science and liberal studying and a concentration in math. Mrs. Delacruz loves working with the variables and expressions in the algebra section. When she is teaching her math lessons, she tries to explain in different ways for the different types of learners. She tries to make her lessons visual for the visual learners. She also tries to explain in words for the audible learners. Mrs. Delacruz also makes her students do the work for the reading/writing learners. Mrs. Delacruz also tries to create projects for the students that have to deal with her lessons.
