Eftekhar Dadehbala or better known as Mahasti was born November 16, 1946 in Tehran, Iran. She was one of the best, most famous, and most beautiful Persian singers ever. She wrote many albums and even more songs. Her songs sent a message to whomever heard them and it brought many to tears. Her voice was soothing and graceful. My favorite song that she wrote was called Bia Benevisim. Her voice was already powerful enough but in this song she took powerful to the next level. The lyrics to this song are beautiful and amazing. However, that is not the point, even though this amazing artist sang wonderful songs she was also very modest and never showed off. She respected the art and the other artists as well. So not only was she a talented artist she was also a wonderful person as well. She passed June 25, 2007, in Santa Rosa, California, due to Colorectal Cancer. However, we are not here to speak about her death but honor her life. The world will definitely miss her and so will her family.
